SABC 1 introduces a brand-new drama series, Good Men, which will broadcast on Sundays at 20:00, from the 4th of September 2022.
Two men come into direct opposition and from different backgrounds, a stark contrast from Fourways to Cosmo City to the courts. Characters Zola, and Jama, are introduced. Meet Zola: 17, a math genius with a temper, in his matric year and accused of murder, played by Tabile Tau and Jama; a brilliant ruthless, materialistic criminal lawyer whose life takes a drastic turn when he must take on a pro-bono case, played by Pallance Dladla. This season, viewers will experience the cross-section of real life, from elite to underclass. Both men meet at a threatening point in their lives, each desperately wanting to save themselves.
An integral piece of the puzzle is Gugu Mbuyaze (17yrs), a young girl with a potentially bright future and a big heart. Gugu connected to Zola, a light force in his life, but also a sign of how society keeps turning a blind eye. Gugu and Zola's whirlwind romance is cut short by death, and a trial takes place to uncover hidden truths and expose the killer.
Entle Mbali Mlotshwa joins the show as Betty, fiancé to Jama; is a prosecutor and wants to see justice done. Thabo Malema plays the role of Lwazi Nzimande, an incredible civil litigator with a big heart. He met his wife Ivy, played by Petronella Tshuma, at a law school, and she is the whisper in his ear telling him to fight to get his name on the door of the Meyiwa and Associates law firm. Dumisani Mbebe plays the role of Solezwe Blose, passionate, charming, powerful, and wise. He dreams of becoming the President of South Africa but knows how much work that is going to require.
Viewers can also look forward to appearances by Marcus Mabusela, Zikhona Sodlaka, Sparky Xulu, Cedric Fourie, Lebogang Motaung, Lihle Ngubo and Mbali Mapumulo.
