MO ZAKA is a brand-new 2-minute game show on SABC 1 that is set to redefine the television entertainment space. MO ZAKA invites viewers to engage with different brands like never before. Participants are tasked with identifying specific brands and answer questions related to them. A daily prize pool of R50 000 is up for grabs, including a daily main prize of R10 000. THE GAME SHOW MECHANICS ARE AS FOLLOWS: · Participants will be required to answer two questions about the brand via USSD. · Participants who answered the questions correctly will be entered into the draw for the prizes amounting to R50 000 per day, with the main prize being R10 000 daily. · The winners of the top three prizes will be announced on SABC 1 at 21:30 daily. All other winners will receive notification via SMS or Email. The names of all winners will also be uploaded to the SABC competition website.

SABC 1 introduces a brand-new drama series, Good Men, which will broadcast on Sundays at 20:00, from the 4th of September 2022.

Two men come into direct opposition and from different backgrounds, a stark contrast from Fourways to Cosmo City to the courts. Characters Zola, and Jama, are introduced. Meet Zola: 17, a math genius with a temper, in his matric year and accused of murder, played by Tabile Tau and Jama; a brilliant ruthless, materialistic criminal lawyer whose life takes a drastic turn when he must take on a pro-bono case, played by Pallance Dladla. This season, viewers will experience the cross-section of real life, from elite to underclass. Both men meet at a threatening point in their lives, each desperately wanting to save themselves.

An integral piece of the puzzle is Gugu Mbuyaze (17yrs), a young girl with a potentially bright future and a big heart. Gugu connected to Zola, a light force in his life, but also a sign of how society keeps turning a blind eye. Gugu and Zola's whirlwind romance is cut short by death, and a trial takes place to uncover hidden truths and expose the killer.

Entle Mbali Mlotshwa joins the show as Betty, fiancé to Jama; is a prosecutor and wants to see justice done. Thabo Malema plays the role of Lwazi Nzimande, an incredible civil litigator with a big heart. He met his wife Ivy, played by Petronella Tshuma, at a law school, and she is the whisper in his ear telling him to fight to get his name on the door of the Meyiwa and Associates law firm. Dumisani Mbebe plays the role of Solezwe Blose, passionate, charming, powerful, and wise. He dreams of becoming the President of South Africa but knows how much work that is going to require.

Viewers can also look forward to appearances by Marcus Mabusela, Zikhona Sodlaka, Sparky Xulu, Cedric Fourie, Lebogang Motaung, Lihle Ngubo and Mbali Mapumulo.

The Chair is a reality television/competition show which allows unemployed young South Africans to compete in an interview and a task challenge to “secure” a job in the industry or sector that they trained, studied for, or wish to join. Potential employers and employment agencies will be invited to interview candidates on television. Each week we shortlist four candidates for a position that needs to be filled by an employer. Four candidates will go through grueling interviews after which, two of them will be eliminated, leaving the last two finalists to compete by completing a task or challenge, and hopefully one "Candidate” will walk away with the job. The Chair aims to deal with South Africa's unemployment crisis by connecting employers with job seekers by offering qualified individuals the chance to improve their lives and earn a job.
