In each show, two stories spark tears and laughter as viewers reflect on their family relationships and are moved to implement positive change in their own homes. Khumbul’ekhaya tackles socio-economic issues such as abuse, addiction, poverty, and the breakdown of the family structure, which contributes to the continued estrangement of family members.
Deal or No Deal - South Africa, is a thrilling, once-in-a lifetime game of chance where contestants select one of twenty sealed boxes. Each box contains a cash amount, ranging from R1 to R250 000. As the game unfolds, and as the cash values of the boxes are revealed, the contestant is offered an amount in exchange for their box by the show’s Banker. Round after round, Katlego Maboe, the show host, will ask the contestant to decide whether to take the Banker’s deal or not; thus, creating a rapture of enthusiastic encouragement and nail-biting nerves for both contestants and viewers.

 A new show from the YouTube series called 'The Unplug' - this series will see several artists perform their sophomore rendition of their songs over the next couple of weeks, brought to you by Slikour Onlife.

The series was created during the pandemic when live performances were prohibited and artists were looking to get their craft out, filling the vacuum through a pre-recorded concert.


SABC 1 introduces a brand-new drama series, Good Men, which will broadcast on Sundays at 20:00, from the 4th of September 2022.

Two men come into direct opposition and from different backgrounds, a stark contrast from Fourways to Cosmo City to the courts. Characters Zola, and Jama, are introduced. Meet Zola: 17, a math genius with a temper, in his matric year and accused of murder, played by Tabile Tau and Jama; a brilliant ruthless, materialistic criminal lawyer whose life takes a drastic turn when he must take on a pro-bono case, played by Pallance Dladla. This season, viewers will experience the cross-section of real life, from elite to underclass. Both men meet at a threatening point in their lives, each desperately wanting to save themselves.

An integral piece of the puzzle is Gugu Mbuyaze (17yrs), a young girl with a potentially bright future and a big heart. Gugu connected to Zola, a light force in his life, but also a sign of how society keeps turning a blind eye. Gugu and Zola's whirlwind romance is cut short by death, and a trial takes place to uncover hidden truths and expose the killer.

Entle Mbali Mlotshwa joins the show as Betty, fiancé to Jama; is a prosecutor and wants to see justice done. Thabo Malema plays the role of Lwazi Nzimande, an incredible civil litigator with a big heart. He met his wife Ivy, played by Petronella Tshuma, at a law school, and she is the whisper in his ear telling him to fight to get his name on the door of the Meyiwa and Associates law firm. Dumisani Mbebe plays the role of Solezwe Blose, passionate, charming, powerful, and wise. He dreams of becoming the President of South Africa but knows how much work that is going to require.

Viewers can also look forward to appearances by Marcus Mabusela, Zikhona Sodlaka, Sparky Xulu, Cedric Fourie, Lebogang Motaung, Lihle Ngubo and Mbali Mapumulo.

uBettina Wethu is a dramedy that is an adaptation of the Columbian series Yo Soy Betty La Fea, a television drama successfully adapted for local audiences in 19 countries – including the US adaptation Ugly Betty. In Season 3, Betty gets all the things that she wants but just not the thing that she needs. She gets the position of Managing Director very soon into the season because she has the shares, because Linda trusts her and because Dingaan has been struggling to run the business. She gets quickly elevated into a more powerful position, but now has to deal with the reality of what managers and shareholders have to deal with. Meanwhile, Israel has become Mr. New Money.
