The first of it’s kind globally, 1’s and 2’s is a reality Producer-DJ search which sees some of the biggest names in Electronic Music scouring the country to identify the best un-signed talent out there!

1’s and 2’s sees the best 12 unsigned Producer-DJs (both Solo contestants and Duo contestants) battle it out in the quest to become South Africa’s next Master of Spin! Each week, the contestants are given a supper session from one of the best DJs in the country, straight after which they are tasked with producing a track and/or performance using these skills and perform this in front of a live studio audience and our resident judges. From these performances, a top 3 and bottom 3 are announced, and from the bottom three, a contestant is eliminated.

From these hopefuls, the top 12 contestants compete each week, with the elimination challenges sending a contestant home each week, until just three remain. From these three, Mzanzi gets to vote for it’s favourite contestant, and the winner; South Africa’s Master if spin is crowned, walking away with the title and R150 000 worth of studio and performance equipment.
