Tshidi is in a critical condition. Lerato refuses to believe that Kuti is Tshidi’s son and as such does not let him see her. Kuti, with X’s help eventually finds a way to get to his mother's bedside- his words seem to improve her condition. But the next morning she is declared dead.Meanwhile Ngulube sells Kuti’s secret out to X for a letter from Neyo. X uses the information to prove to Kuti that he is after everything still a real friend.

Not knowing that Hope is passed out on her couch from one too many pills, Steffy tells Liam not to worry about Hope and that she will keep him company until Hope arrives.  Thomas and Caroline discuss Thomas’ past romances as well as the past relationship between Thomas’ father Ridge and Caroline’s late Aunt Caroline. Liam finally goes home to find Hope asleep. After seeing the photo of himself with Steffy on Hope’s laptop, Liam gets Hope to admit that she took a pill and that it came from Amber, not from Dr. Barton. Liam becomes furious with Amber and worried about Hope. Caroline is impressed with everything that Thomas set up for their evening and the two share their first kiss.
