The Moses Mabhida Stadium was built where the ancient and much smaller Kings Park Soccer Stadium once stood.

It is situated in the fast-developing sporting district of Durban across the road from the Kings Park Rugby stadium, golf courses and an international swimming centre. An overhead arch runs the length of the field and lends a sense of the dramatic to the stadium. It has a double set of legs at the one end and a single leg at the other, taking its inspiration from the national flag which uses the same motif to symbolise unity.

Location: Durban
Capacity: 70 000
What makes it special: An arch spans the length of the field and stands 106 metres at its highest point. A funicular takes sight-seers to the top for an unforgettable view of the Durban beachfront to the South.
