The SABC1’s Live Talent Search 2012 came to an exhilarating finish with the 23-year old PE born youngster, Luthando Shosha, declared the overall winner and the newest face to grace the Mzansi Fo Sho screens. She lives by the motto, ‘The whole world steps aside for a person who knows where they are going’ and that’s what happened when she trounced thousands of other enthusiasts to the number 1 presenting spot on the popular Friday-night music show, Live.

“I'm feeling soooo many different things at once! I'm excited! Happy! Beyond blessed and REALLY thankful to every single person that put me here by voting! There really is nothing cooler than having so many people have faith in you! I'm ready for this! I've worked hard to get here and I'm going to continue to do so,” says elated Luthando.
The public fell in love with Luthando from the moment she made her first convincing appearance on the live show. Her public voting performance has been very consistent throughout. And the vote was unanimous. Luthando will have to bid a sweet goodbye to her hometown of PE for new pastures in the City of Gold where she has her work already cut out for her for the foreseeable future. Judging by her previous performance during the live show, viewers are in for an exciting season of Live.
“From the beginning the ball was placed in the youths’ court for them to prove they’ve got what it takes and they did not disappoint, as evidenced by the high standard the Talent Search produced. Congratulations to Luthando for a battle well fought and best wishes to her in her new role as co-presenter on Live,” says Vukile Madlala, the Channel’s Publicity Head. “SABC1 will continue to unearth youth talent and provide it with a platform to showcase itself.”
