Intersexions, the award winning TV drama series makes its return on SABC 1 in February 2013. This is an episodic drama series with 26 independent but interrelated stand – alone episodes that follow the AIDS infection. Intersexions further explores love, relationships, and sex in the time of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In this season we discover how the secrets that individuals keep can harm the people they love the most.In the first episode of the second season, we take a look at the complicated lives of two families from a small town in the Eastern Cape, who are embroiled in an old and bitter rivalry. In the mist of the rivalry between their families, Zolile and Nomzamo find comfort in each other's arms and fall in love. The two decide to do right by their families and tell their parents about their relationship, a decision that has dire consequences; Nomzamo is forbidden from seeing Zolile by her mother Kholeka and Zolile is immediately sent back to university by his father, Lwazi. Zolile leaves for university and makes a promise to Nomzamo that they will be together again.
The following episodes, take us on a journey of discovery; with the series’ characters linked to each other in some way or another, we begin to realise just how much the secrets we keep within relationships can hurt the ones we love the most. With each new episode, we are brought closer to finally discovering the secret that tore the young lovers apart with episode 19 taking us back to where it all started, in the small town in the Eastern Cape.
Each story is uniquely told with a hint of comedy, action and intense drama.
