A young couple, Themba and Buyi Vilakazi have just moved from Umlazi to (semi) suburbs. Hardly three months at their new place and people start asking them for favours. They want to come over for few days and others for few weeks; to sort themselves out (looking for work, come for fresh air, etc).

The Vilakazis agree to get rid of this pestering once and for all. They put a month aside that they call a ‘window period’ during which anyone of their relatives can come for a visit. At the end of this period all must pack and go home.

During that period Buyi’s grandmother comes, Themba’s half brother that he has not seen for more than a decade also comes; Winnie who is a distant cousin to Buyi also arrives. The situation becomes chaotic. As if that is not enough, the guy who stays at a backroom also starts to behave like he’s a member of the family.

The Vilakazis cannot take it any more, but how do they get rid of all these people?
